ASUS, in conjunction with ASUS, has announced BIOS updates for its Intel 700 and 600 series motherboards Corsairwith support for up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory and compatibility with the new Corsair Vengeance® DDR5 48 GB (2 x 24 GB) 7000 MT/s modules.

When a user buys an Intel 700 or 600 series motherboard from the ROG Maximus, ROG Strix, ProArt, TUF Gaming or Prime series, they often have to choose between an option that supports next-generation DDR4 memory or a DDR5 model. As the market for DDR5 RAM matured, enthusiasts found it hard to ignore the performance potential of next-generation memory. With this latest BIOS update, DDR5 compatible ASUS motherboards are formidable options. The entire selection of ASUS 700 and 600 series motherboards are now compatible with the latest 24 and 48 GB DDR5 memory modules.

ASUS has rigorously tested upcoming 2 x 24GB memory kits from Corsair to confirm that the full range of motherboards can support up to 48GB of 7000 MT/s DDR5 RAM. Whether users prefer an advanced Z790 motherboard ready for ultimate overclocking or a feature-rich, yet affordable B760 option, they can pair it with a DDR5 memory kit that offers an unbeatable combination of capacity and sheer speed .

Ready for all kinds of enthusiasts

Many users joke with friends or family about how buying a new, larger memory kit will allow them to open even more browser tabs. There’s some truth to that, even if it would take a pretty impressive number of browser tabs for a modern PC with 16GB of RAM to noticeably freeze. The truth is that many users could benefit from more high-bandwidth RAM. Some games can take up more than 16GB of RAM on their own, and that doesn’t include apps that users prefer to run in the background.

Video editors, architects, product designers, 3D modelers, Twitch streamers, engineers, data scientists, and many others routinely use memory-sensitive workloads. These professionals and makers – not to mention anyone who multitasks on a daily basis – have followed the development of the DDR5 market with interest. The new generation of memory kits offers better scalability for today’s high-core CPUs, a massive increase in bandwidth, and improvements in efficiency, all without significantly impacting overall system latency.

Upcoming DDR5 memory modules from manufacturers such as Corsair are notable for the large memory capacity they offer with lightning-fast data transfer. DDR5-7000 kits are currently available, but with a maximum of 16 GB per module. The newbies memory modules Corsair Vengeance 48 GB (2 x 24 GB) DDR5-7000 allow users to get up to 48 GB of DDR5 RAM at a speed of 7000 MT/s. It’s a tempting proposition. It’s a tempting proposition for anyone who needs a lot of fast memory. For those who prefer even more RAM, upcoming kits like the Corsair Vengeance 192 GB (4 x 48 GB) DDR5 offer a data rate of 5600 MT/s.

Below is a table of ASUS Z790 motherboards that will support new DDR5 memory modules after installing the latest BIOS update. Updates for ASUS B760, H770 and 600 series motherboards are planned soon.
