Lima, Peru, May 15, 2023.— digibeean enterprise integration platform as a service company (iPaas) which helps organizations build a flexible and highly scalable integration architecture, has published its second annual report Digibee 2023 State of Enterprise Integration Report. The report provides new insights and comparative data from 2022 research to help quantify the growth of business integration as a mission-critical technology.
Research digibee was developed in collaboration with the research agency CensusWide and is based on a survey of more than 1,000 CIOs, CTOs, developers and enterprise architects in the United States and Canada. The fieldwork was carried out between 7 and 20 February 2023.
He Digibee 2023 State of Business Integration Report reflects an ever widening gap between organizations that already use it iPaas and those falling behind due to a reliance on outdated integration technology, for example systems on the terrain, local and heritage. These organizations cannot innovate quickly and face increasing challenges such as system outages, increasing delivery delays, YOU and the lack of resources.
Enterprise integration is a top priority in 2023 and most companies are actively planning to adopt, supplement or replace their integration technology
In the 2022 report, we asked a subset of respondents (those who had not yet implemented integration) if they were considering integration technologies in their plans. 94% answered no.
Instead, the 2023 results reflect a market that is rapidly evolving in adoption of enterprise integration, with 71% of respondents actively planning to deploy the technology in 2023.
Once a business integration strategy is in place, the company is able to achieve meaningful and significant economic efficiencies across the entire operation that benefit the company,” said Peter Kreslins, CTO and Founder of Digibee. “For example, integrations that enable innovation now take weeks instead of months. Valuable projects languishing in the IT backlog can finally move on. And a large portion of the IT integration budget previously spent on maintenance and training, more than 35%, is being spent on higher value work.”
Business interruptions due to downtime during integration deployment have increased significantly
In the 2022 survey, 57% of companies reported significant, impactful, and longer-than-expected downtime. In 2023, this percentage will have risen to 79%.
While many companies move quickly in executing their integration strategies, organizations hampered by non-cloud-native technology lack the agility to respond quickly. Downtime is expected to continue to increase year over year within a shrinking group of companies facing these internal barriers.
Downtime, whether unexpected or planned, continues to cost the business,” said Matt Durham, Digibee Market Strategist. “Most organizations, especially those without an integration strategy, are already overstretched in terms of resources and time. Business interruptions only exacerbate this imbalance, reduce profitability and negatively impact the customer experience.”
The report digibee 2023 includes other contextual data and insights, such as a list of the top goals driving integration projects, the time it takes to implement a standard integration, the percentage of the budget for YOU dedicated to integration, etc.
